Are you running for the State Democratic Executive Committee, Democratic National Committee, or other Texas State Democratic Party office? If so, we invite you to become a part of our Campaign for Change.

Simply complete the following Progressive Populist Caucus (PPC) candidate questionnaire to see how closely you agree with our progressive values and our vision of grassroots management of the Texas Democratic Party.

Candidates that agree with our progressive values and vision will have the opportunity to

  • list your candidacy and photo on our Campaign for Change website!
  • tell our membership why you should be elected to these positions
  • the chance to lend a hand as progressives ready for change to SWEEP Texas!

The final deadline to submit your questionnaire is no later than June 4, 2008.

 The current patronage chain funding of the Texas Democratic Party leads to a narrow focus of party goals. We need to concentrate our efforts on winning every race we enter, sweeping rather than targeting just a few offices.

Our Precinct Chairs, County Chairs and SDEC Reps need training, resources and communications methods that are critical to winning elections.

You can make change today and you can make change now. This is your Party!!!

  1. Attend your Senate District Caucus on Friday at 3:00 p.m. and VOTE for strong and “progressive” SDEC candidates to represent you in your Senate District.
  2. On Saturday make sure to stay around for the TDP State Party Officers Elections. We encourage you to VOTE for strong, “progressive” and new leadership that will fight for you. If you need to leave the convention, please make arrangements for an Alternate to replace you.
